How to build a ramp. How to build a ramp. In this video I show you how to make a small wooden ramp for your young kids to ride on. I made it to be used for their bikes but could also be used for anything with wheels really.
The first step on how to build a ramp is start off with some plans. I drew up some plans on paper, with the intent of only using one sheet of 4x8 plywood. I was only looking to spend around 50 dollars max so I leaned more towards the budget side of the build.
I made my plans, went to home depot and purchased my wood. I picked up a sheet of plywood and four 2x3 boards. I also grabbed some screws.
I started marking the boards and making my cuts. This how to build your kids a ramp video goes over the steps that I took to make a wood jump for my kids.
Once i cut and screwed the boards together, I put some stain on the wood to help preserve it and make it last longer. I also cut and screwed on a metal piece to front of the ramp to make a smooth transition.
Once it was all dry it was time to put it to the test. I pulled it out in front of the house and the kids knew exactly what to do. They jumped on their bikes and went up and down it without hesitation. Every time i get it out they cry when Its time to put it away.
I hope this how to build a ramp for kids video was helpful and makes it easier for you to get out in the garage and make it happen for your kids.
I filed this how to build your kids a ramp video with my canon 70d.
